The racing game Need for Speed: Most Wanted will have you burning rubber on the streets. Become the most notorious and elusive street racer by racing against the clock and other racers. Test your skills to outrun the police and become the most wanted by competing in Quick Races and Challenge Series. As you race to the top, you'll feel a rush of adrenaline!
Gameplay
- Cars: As you progress through the Career mode, you will have access to most of the more notable cars, including Aston Martin, Audi, Chevrolet, Fiat, Dodge, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mazda, Porsche, as well as Subaru, Renault, and Volkswagen.
- Upgrades: With Performance Parts, you can upgrade different parts of your car, such as the engine, suspension, brakes, Nitrous, and more. Your modifications will improve your car's acceleration, top speed, or handling, depending on the modifications you make.
- Dodge the police: The police will chase you as you break the law and commit crimes. From level 1, where a simple police patrol tries to catch you, to level 6, where unmarked cruisers drive impressive Chevrolet Corvette C6s and helicopters will do everything they can to catch you. Risking your life will gain you reputation points on the streets and move you up the Blacklist.
- Level design: An industrial landscape provides a beautiful backdrop for exciting races and pursuits. A number of different races await you on these wild streets so you can test and refine your driving skills.
- Faster, better: Need for Speed games require you to manage Nitrous Boosts wisely so you can win one after another.
Playtime and Game Modes
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) will last about 20 hours if you focus on the main objectives, but if you want to go beyond the main objectives, it can easily take over 30 hours. Multiplayer and single-player modes are available in the game:
- Career: Need for Speed: Most Wanted's single-player campaign mode will introduce you to the game's lore and story. As an incentive, you will be able to unlock more content in other modes the more progress you make in Career mode.
- Tollbooth Time Trials: This is a single-player mode that contains various pursuit milestones, including pursuit length, pursuit evasion, infractions, bounty, trade paint, roadblocks, and spike strips. Each race is unlocked sequentially, and a specific vehicle is provided for each.
- Quick Race: Create single-player and multiplayer courses here and customize settings like the number of laps, opponents, difficulty level, traffic density, and transmission type. But it shines as you can also generate races procedurally.
- Race Events: Sprint (point-to-point races), Drag (short versions of Sprint), Circuit (lap races), Lap Knockout (circuit races, the last racer is eliminated at each lap), Speedtrap (point-to-point races, with checkpoints recording each accumulative speed), and Tollbooth (point-to-point races, with checkpoints adding additional time).
