HDoom is one of the most popular and instantly recognizable mods DOOM has to offer, yet, in 2018, HDoom received its last ever update, which has left fans wondering about HDoom's return for more than 5 years, and for quite some time, the answer to that question was uncertain. Until now, that is.
The Lust for Blood without the Blood!
As with Doom, HDoom has a somewhat similar premise. On Mars (well, I think we are) there is a demonic horde out of control. These are big boobed anime style demons that need to be battled into submission rather than just killed. It is not enough to just kill them, it is necessary for Doom Guy to fight them into submission so he can strike them! The minimalistic storytelling here fits very well with the original game.
As hot as hell
I love the fact that they decided to keep HDoom as pixelated as hell in a tribute to the original or perhaps it's because this is a straight up mod? Anyway, I loved the whole style of this game and found it to be really funny. There are monsters and demons in the game that resemble the Doom creatures we all know and love, but they're hentai girl style and will have sex with you. It's really cool and such a fun take on an old classic!
Putting the Nookie first
HDoom's X*X content isn't the kind of thing that you're gonna get off with, but it is still pretty fun and cool. As soon as you defeat one of the monsters, Doom Guy can walk up to them and have his way with them. It could have been done in high quality CG, but instead it was done in the same pixel retro style as the rest of the game, and I loved that. To be honest, I got a kick out of Doom Guy's short stature.
Did you ever play Doom?
You will feel right at home with HDoom if you have played Doom before. The gameplay is as fast and frantic as you remember, but with boobs. It is classic Doom, with a twist of X*X. I found it particularly enjoyable to fight hordes of sexy hentai style monsters, find keys, figure out where to go. The weapons have also been changed, and I really enjoyed them. Rather than a chainsaw, you have a giant purple chain dildo to mow down your enemies.
