Shotgun King: the Last Checkmate was originally our collective entry for Ludum Dare #50, the jam version (still available in the demo section in the downloads) was completely made in under 72 hours. (link to the LD submission)
The game won! A total of 1900+ entries were submitted in the Jam category, and it placed first overall, as well as first in Fun and second in Innovation.
With the full post-jam version, more cards have been added, a story mode with different difficulties has been added, an interface has been reworked, accessibility settings have been added, and some rebalancing has been done.
About Shotgun King APK
You are playing chess, but all your army has crossed over to the white side, leaving you with nothing but your royal shotgun and your wounded pride. As a result of your dark folly, you decide it's time to teach those white pieces to fear the Shotgun King.
You can either move your king or shoot at enemy pieces every turn, after which you must move again to reload your shotgun. Ensure that you do not checkmate the enemy king and kill him to complete the floor. In each floor, you may choose between two random combinations of one upgrade for you and one upgrade for the other side. Your kingdom may just come back if you make the right choices and keep winning floors.
It may take up to 20 minutes to complete a run. With 15 difficulty levels, unlockable cards, 80 achievements to complete, and a chase mode, you'll be constantly assaulted from every angle!
I can't run the game!
You may experience problems running the game if you do the following:
- Try extracting the game to a different location, such as your Desktop, and running it from there.
- You should add the executable to the whitelist of your antivirus program. Launch the game now and see if it works.
- There have been reports of graphical issues with Intel Integrated Graphics, sometimes there are artefacts like green stripes on the screen, or the game won't launch. You can launch the game using a graphics card instead of integrated graphics if you have one. If your Intel Graphics drivers are outdated, please try updating them.
- Try running the game with the "shaderless [...] .bat" file in the game's folder if the above fails. The game may not run as smoothly, but there is a better chance of it running correctly.
