An e-service for pensioners that is biometrically enabled. Pensioners of the Central Government, the State Government, or any other government entity can use this service.
Service pensioners and family pensioners can use the App.
Aadhaar-based face, fingerprint, or iris authentication is supported by the app
Using an app with Face Authentication (available only in India)
- Having an external biometric device is not necessary, only the AadhaarFaceRD service is required.
- Aadhaar Face RD is available and works only in India. It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Search Aadhaar Face RD in the Google Play Store.
Fingerprint/Iris device use with the app
- Either a fingerprint scanner or an iris scanner must be registered as a biometric device
- The RD Service for the respective biometric device can be downloaded from the Play Store.
As soon as JeevanPramaan (Digital Life Certificate) has been successfully submitted, a unique Pramaan ID is generated and a confirmation SMS is sent to the user. This Pramaan ID can then be used for future reference if needed.
A hard copy of a Digital Life Certificate is not required since the Pension Disbursing Office accesses it automatically for processing
This service is available only to pensioners whose Pension Sanctioning Authority has been onboarded onto JeevanPramaan. For a list of onboarded pension sanctioning authorities, please visit https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/.
How does it work?
Aadhaar is used by Jeevan Pramaan for biometric authentication of pensioners.
The Digital Life Certificate is generated after successful authentication and stored in the Life Certificate Repository. Pension Disbursing Agencies can access the certificate online.
Life Certificate Generation
Registration can be done by downloading the PC/Mobile application or visiting the nearest Jeevan Pramaan Center.
You must provide information such as your UID number, the pension payment order number, your bank account number, and the name of your bank.
Aadhaar Authentication
To complete the process, you need to provide your biometric information, either a fingerprint or iris scan, and authenticate yourself. (Jeevan Pramaan is powered by Aadhaar for online biometric authentication.)
Life Certificate
You receive an SMS acknowledgment with your Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID after successful authentication.
A Life Certificate Repository stores the certificates for access by pensioners and the Pension Disbursing Agency at any time.
Access your Certificate
The certificate can be downloaded by providing the Jeevan Pramaan ID on the Jeevan Pramaan website.
Pension Disbursing Agency
Pension Disbursing Agency can access and download Life Certificates from Jeevan Pramaan's website.
Electronic Delivery
A Life Certificate can also be delivered electronically to the Pension Disbursing Agency, without any manual intervention.
