The last creation, humans, led to a protracted war against the Goliaths due to their ever-expanding ambitions. As Engardin erupted in flames, a huge explosion known as "The Razing" devastated the Holy Grounds and brought the conflict to a swift end. The divine order had been broken, and lives had withered away. The era of mankind had ended.
Engadine was scattered with the survivors. They banded together to form settlements after being separated from the Well of Mankind and unable to reincarnate. In the years since this great cataclysm, the remaining human settlements have been suddenly attacked by mystic forces. Renee, an amnesiac girl and student of Aros, was the only one to survive. With a desire to recover her memories and locate her mentor, she bids farewell to her destroyed village and embarks on a journey that inexplicably begins a series of events that will define the future of this world.
