A wicked universe backed by an original storyline
Play the role of a lost being inhabiting the body of a tall blue creature and explore the remnants of civilization. There is no linear narrative; it is your task to piece together who you are and what happened. During your journey, you will encounter wayward creatures, discover old stories, battle temporal instability, and endure temporal storms.
A million square kilometers of unique, randomly generated landscape
Find a wide variety of cute, strange, dangerous, and horrifying creatures roaming an open world. In order to keep exploration fresh and exciting, Vintage Story uses a great deal of procedural technology to create incredibly diverse landscapes, climate conditions, and geological features.
Simulating an unreal world
The VS game engine has been continuously developed for six years and now simulates seasons, soil fertility, rock strata, localized weather patterns, rain, snowfall, hail, realistic climate distributions, food spoilage, body temperature, animal husbandry, farming, block physics, inspiring sunsets and nights skies, mineralogy, knapping, clay forming, metallurgy, smithing, macroblock editing, and more.
