Besides building block mode and formation mode, the TELLO EDU App also includes remote control modes. Using the remote control mode is similar to using the TELLO App, but the function is simpler; using the building block mode to control the drone, you can easily learn programming by using building blocks. Besides increasing the fun of the TELLO, there are many interesting levels to experience as well.
Students can connect the world through game programming with the official RYZE Technology app, which supports and is fully compatible with the Tello & Tello Edu drone models.
The Tello Edu App is an educational game programming app designed for K12 (Kindergarten to 12), to support demonstrations of Tello & Tello Edu drone flying or entering a simulator interface through building block programming, while disengaging from the drones. The most popular virtual programming games of 12 planetary missions guide students to experience the fun & creativity of programming, while vivid interface designs and aesthetic layouts further motivate students to explore and learn more, improving the effectiveness of learning.
Games for building block programming
Each game in the App features 12 planetary levels, where students assist the "RoboMaster" masters in animating the hero and heroine and programmatically drive the virtual Tello to accomplish each task. Each planet assigns a different number of level missions and knowledge and skill points. In this course, students are encouraged to learn more about building block programming, which enhances their ability to create branched and nested branch structures in games. Students can also be assessed for their level of achievements and their learning progress can be recorded.
Indicator of Programming Ability
The "human"-based index framework developed by ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) and professors & teachers of the Association of E-Learning constructs FIVE Doers, computational thinkers, programmers, team collaborators, innovative designers, and digital citizens. Over 100 missions and 12 planetary levels, along with mobile devices in practical courses, allow students to build up their FIVE ability indexes by challenging each level. As a result of the level assessment system, each student receives a rather recognizable learning portfolio.
Flight Simulator
While students will not be able to control a real Tello Edu, they can still use the flying simulator in the App to build their logical thinking ability and creativity as they experience airplane flight.
Block Programming
Programming skills can be developed by controlling real Tello & Tello Edu by using logical building blocks, flying blocks, variable building blocks, and arithmetic building blocks.
Remote Control
Students use the app to control real Tellos and Tello Edus to demonstrate flight features such as take-off and landing, yawing (CW/CCW), forward/backward, left/right, up/down, and 360-degree flips.
