How do I use it?
USB Mode
You will need to plug in the USB to your device (in the case of tablets, use an OTG cable) and make sure that HUR is the default app for the action, as well as check the always box.
Before the app starts, you may need to pull down the notification bar and select the USB device connected to your device (this depends on the device you're using).
Wifi
The WiFi Launcher app should be installed on your phone!
When you select the car BT in WiFi Launcher, the app will start automatically
Then connect your car's unit to the phone hotspot and run HeadUnit Reloaded (you can reverse the hotspot/client roles if you wish).
When Android Auto and HUR are running on the same device, Self Mode is available
Press Self-mode on HUR (make sure Android Auto is installed on the device you are trying to use).
FAQ / Troubleshoot
I get a black screen instead
- If you are using a head powered by Android (Joying, Xtrons, etc), find the setting allowing you to play videos while driving
- Enable Software decoding in HUR settings
A-Sure, RK3188 units, RK3066 units, Avin, and other Android-powered head units are compatible with Joying, Eonon, Grom Vline, Xtrons, PX5, and PX3 units.
